Rehabilitation Services
We evaluate and treat disorders of speech, language and feeding/swallowing in children ages 12 months to 18 years.
We work with a range of children who have difficulty with expressing themselves or understanding others in a play-based approach. We are able to address concerns in diagnoses including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, hearing loss, language processing disorder, and expressive/receptive language delays. Children learn best through play, so we support their development in the way they learn best!
Children can experience difficulty with making their speech sounds for a conglomerate of reasons. We work on an individual basis to help them achieve their goals and be better understood by peers and caregivers. We are able to address articulation concerns and fluency disorders to help them better communicate with others.
We can treat two types of swallowing disorders in pediatrics. We can first support children older than 6 months of age who are transitioning off bottle and/or breastfeeding and are having difficulty with chewing and swallowing table foods. We can also support children who are having difficulty with tolerating a range of foods through the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to comprehensively evaluating and managing feeding disorders.
