Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Performance Improvement Manager Claire Massero and Performance Improvement Consultant Delaney Kelly were both recent recipients of I CARE Awards.
The team was nominated by BWFH’s Chief of Psychiatry Dr. John Fromson for their process improvement work on 2 South. In his nomination letter, Dr Fromson wrote, “Over the past 1.5 years, Claire Massero and Delaney Kelly led and coordinated process improvement efforts on the 2 South inpatient psychiatry unit that have dramatically increased the number of inpatient psychiatry unit discharges, allowed us to achieve the highest number of recorded discharges in a week (32) and month (81), helped us increase the average daily census to exceed budgetary expectations and so much more! This dynamic duo are consummate team players, experts in their field and wonderful colleagues to work with.”
Massero and Kelly were each presented with their I CARE Awards by members of the Rewards and Recognition Committee and their supportive co-workers. “We are very appreciative of the I CARE Award and the thoughtful nomination from Dr. Fromson. It has been a great pleasure and a wonderful learning experience working with the entire 2 South team. They are truly the ones that deserve the recognition for all of their hard work and exemplary patient care,” they say of the honor.
Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit Vitals. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Cafe. At the end of the year, all I CARE Award recipients will be invited to a reception.
