Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. This spring, the Rewards and Recognition Committee has delivered I CARE Awards to staff members from throughout the hospital.
Among them were:
7 North’s Stacy Demesyeux, BSN, RN, who made such an impression on her patient that one year later they wrote to thank her for her excellent care.
Case Review Coordinator Dustin Scott Fitch, RN, who personally filled a patient’s prescription upon discharge from the ED who was unable to do it on their own and had no family to help.
Chief of Psychiatry Dr. John Fromson who had a patient’s jacket dry cleaned after the patient wore it for an extended period of time while an inpatient on 2 South.
Radiology Program Manager Rakesh Kannan, RT (N)(CT), who helped a woman who did not speak English and was struggling with her wheelchair to the Radiology waiting room and stayed with her to make sure she made it through the check-in process.
Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Cafe. At the end of the year, all I CARE Award recipients will be invited to a reception.
