Senior Risk Manager named a Lawyer of the Year

Allyson Hammerstedt, Esq., who recently joined the Department of Risk Management and Clinical Compliance at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as Senior Risk Manager, has been named among Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Lawyers of the Year for 2018.

Hammerstedt was recognized for her work arguing a case before the Supreme Judicial Court concerning interpretation of G.L. c. 231 §60B in her prior role as a trial attorney for a local medical malpractice defense firm. For Hammerstedt, being named a Lawyer of the Year is a great honor. “I am thrilled to be recognized among esteemed colleagues in the legal community. Arguing before the SJC was a great honor and securing a successful result for my surgical client was extremely gratifying,” she says.
