Interim Associate Chief Nurse of Inpatient and Critical Care Nursing elected to American Board of Neuroscience Nurses 

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Interim Associate Chief Nurse of Inpatient and Critical Care Nursing and Nurse Director for the ICU, Dialysis and Respiratory Estier Sayegh, MBA, BSN, RN, CNRN, PCCN-K,CCRN, NEA-BC, has been elected to American Board of Neuroscience Nurses (ABNN) Board of Trustees.

The ABNN is an independent, not-for-profit corporation established to design, implement and evaluate a certification program for professional nurses involved in the specialty practice of neuroscience nursing and its subspecialties. The ABNN Board of Trustees comprises ten volunteers dedicated to contributing to the future development of certification and continued competency of neuroscience nursing and its subspecialties. Each year, ABNN looks for CNRNs and SCRNs to join the Board of Trustees who possess leadership skills that will contribute to ABNN’s Strategic Plan and future development of certification.

“I was beyond thrilled when I was selected by the ABNN to become one of their Board of Trustees members for the 2024–2027 term,” says Sayegh. “This means that I will be given the opportunity to advocate for and advance neuroscience skills, knowledge, research and more. My goal is to serve neuroscience patients and nurses nationally and internationally. I will be working with my fellow ABNN Board of Trustees members to provide the opportunity for international nurses to become certified and to advance their knowledge and skills in neuroscience. I have been as CNRN working with the Stroke Committee to make multiple positive changes to advance and promote the care of the stroke patients at BWFH, which has motivated me to continue advancing my knowledge and skills in neurosciences and to do more for patients and nurses.”
