Housekeeper receives I CARE Award

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Housekeeper Jacques Saint Jules was a recent recipient of an I CARE Award.

Saint Jules was nominated for his I CARE Award by Vice President of Clinical Services Susan Dempsey. In her nomination letter, Dempsey wrote:

I was asked to investigate very cold conditions in the on-call room suite on the weekend. When I went to investigate, Jacques was there working and also mentioned the cold to me. He had already called Facilities to get the problem corrected the day before. He hadn’t heard back so, while I was there, he called again to relate urgency. When I left, he was ordering more blankets for the suite to make sure everyone could stay warm that night. Jacques went over and above to make sure staff were cared for when they weren’t there to advocate for themselves and when no one was looking. Thank you for showing great kindness and caring for your colleagues, Jacques!

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
