Psychiatric nurse receives I CARE Award

Robert Stringfellow, BSN, RN

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. Psychiatric nurse Robert Stringfellow, BSN, RN, was a recent recipient of an I CARE Award.

Stringfellow was nominated for his I CARE Award by 2 South’s Red Team—one of three interdisciplinary treatment teams on the inpatient psychiatric unit with whom Stringfellow often works. In their nomination letter, members of the team wrote:

A shining example of what compassionate care can achieve, Rob Stringfellow embodies the type of dedicated nurse who motivates and inspires his patients to strive for their highest potential. When he provides treatment on 2 South, he seems to possess an infinite supply of energy, devotion and empathy. We praise and admire his ability to motivate our population even when physical, psychological and emotional challenges feel insurmountable. We are eternally grateful for his ability to create a sense of change and safe space for our patients to challenge themselves when change can feel beyond their reach. Through it all, he remains his cheerful and delightful self! And best of all, he advocates for our patients like he would family. For this and so much more, the staff on 2 South are indebted to Rob. Many thanks to Rob for making a difference in our patients’ days, as well as ours.

Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFH - Vitals. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
