At the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) 42nd National Conference, held recently in Denver, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital was well represented with perioperative nurses presenting five posters:

The conference, whose theme was “Heart and Science of Caring: Collaboration. Advocacy. Purpose. Excellence.,” provided the opportunity for nurses specializing in preanesthesia and postanesthesia care, ambulatory surgery and pain management to network with peers, leaders and experts from diverse geographical and healthcare areas. Attendees also had the opportunity to interact with leading industry vendor representatives to gain information and advice on new products and services for quality patient care.

“It’s always validating to see the work of our nurses presented at conferences. But to have five posters at one conference was truly remarkable,” says McCarraher. “It’s a testament to the excellent research and best practices taking place here at BWFH each and every day.”
