Non-Invasive Testing Departments welcome new Operations Manager

The Non-Invasive Testing Departments at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital are pleased to welcome Karla Sirianni as their new Operations Manager.

Sirianni comes to BWFH from Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she worked as a Senior Clinical Exercise Physiologist for nearly 11 years with a focus on cardiopulmonary exercise testing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from George Washington University and a master’s degree in Clinical Physiology from Northeastern University.

In her new role, Sirianni will oversee daily operations in the Echo, Stress, EKG, Autonomic, Vascular, Sleep and EEG clinics. “Being a frontline worker for so long, I saw areas where improvement could be made in patient care. I have a lot of ideas and, in this role, I’m able to focus on the patient experience,” she says of her decision to take on this new challenge. “I also really like the community hospital setting. The smaller scale makes it feel much more personal,” she says.

So far, she is pleased with her decision to join the team at BWFH. In addition to learning her administrative role, she has been busy getting to know the staff and understanding their needs. “I feel like this was the right move for me,” she says. “It’s such a collaborative environment. Everyone seems so willing to work together to care for our patients.”

When she is not at work, Sirianni enjoys vegetable gardening, cooking and hiking. Her current project is the purchase and renovation of an 18th century farmhouse that is sure to occupy her weekends for many years to come.
