Mark your calendar! Friday is Go Red for Women Day
Friday, February 3, is Go Red for Women Day. Wear red to show your support for women in the fight against heart disease and then stop by the Cafeteria between 11 am and 1 pm to enter our heart health-themed raffle. W-2 forms now available in PeopleSoft
Your electronic 2022 W-2 form is now available in PeopleSoft Employee Self Service. You can view, print and save your W-2 by selecting myPay, followed by View W-2/W-2c forms. Those who have not opted out of receiving a printed copy of their W-2 will receive one at the mailing address listed in PeopleSoft. If no mailing address is present, then it will be mailed to your home address.
A Message from Spiritual Care Services: Lantern Festival - February 5
On Sunday, February 5, Lunar New Year celebrations culminate in Yuan Xiao, or the Lantern Festival. Incorporating both ancient and modern spiritual traditions, the Lantern Festival is a time for family reunions and celebrations. The Festival also marks the beginning of the spring season. On this day, lanterns are lit and released symbolizing the illumination of the future, letting go of the past year and welcoming the new and even expressing a wish to have a baby. Other practices include solving lantern riddles, eating tangyuan or small round dumplings and watching lion and dragon dances. Yuánxiāojié kuàilè to all who celebrate!

QUEST Award Program - improvement stories due January 31
Quality, Equity, Safety and Transparency. The QUEST Award Program recognizes clinical areas for outstanding efforts in quality of care, patient experience and harm prevention. Clinical teams from the inpatient units and Emergency Department at both Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital are invited to submit their one-slide improvement story focused on CAUTI, CLABSI, Falls, HAPI, Hand Hygiene or Patient Experience by Tuesday, January 31. A committee of reviewers at BWFH/BWH will evaluate each submission for improvement in outcome or process, level of collaboration and its equity-informed lens. The 2022 winner of the QUEST Award will be announced later this winter. To submit your improvement story, download this template and return it to Director of Infection Control, Clinical Compliance and Patient Safety Andrea Shellman, MHSA, CPPS.
Program in Clinical Effectiveness accepting applications through February 1
The 37th annual Program in Clinical Effectiveness (PCE) is now accepting non-degree applications for this summer’s program, which will run from July 5 through August 18. PCE, a joint program of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, is an intensive 15-credit program designed for physician-clinicians, fellows and faculty who are seeking the quantitative and analytic skills needed for clinical research or are interested in healthcare administration.

Last call! SheSolves Awards looking for women innovators
Mass General Brigham’s Springboard Studio is working to make healthcare more user-friendly by accelerating new ideas from abstract to impact. Its latest initiative is the SheSolves Awards. The goal of SheSolves is to increase women’s participation in healthcare innovation. Up to $25,000 in grants are being offered, as well as product development support from our Springboard team and network of mentors. SheSolves Awards are open to all Mass General Brigham employees who identify as a woman.

Watch the BC Lady Eagles play Duke in the annual women’s cancer awareness game
Conte Forum will look quite different when the #13 Duke Blue Devils come to town on Thursday, February 9, to take on the Boston College women’s basketball team. The Eagles will be donning pink uniforms for the Play4Kay pink game.
Game time is 7 pm with a limited number of free tickets available to employees on a first-come, first-served basis. There also will be a limited number of pink Mass General Brigham branded T-shirts and pom-poms being handed out at the game to help you show off your pride!
As the official Sports Medicine provider for Boston College Athletics, Mass General Brigham is proud to partner with the women’s basketball program for this event.
BWFH Nursing Awards - nominations accepted through February 17
Each year, during National Nurses Week, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital celebrates its nurses with awards recognizing excellence in critical thinking, commitment to patient teaching, continuing education, outstanding delivery of patient- and family-centered care with compassion and dignity and evidence-based practice, as well as the contributions of our support staff.
