Construction Update: October 14 to 25, 2024

Third-Floor Hillside Garage

Interior work is underway, as well as the fall phase of landscaping work, which includes the placement of loam and tree planting. Turner Construction trailers in the area are scheduled to be removed by Friday, October 25.

Inpatient Addition

Work is progressing for the inpatient addition with interior work and exterior wall installation ongoing. Staff and patients should expect intermittent disruptions to the loop road during this time.

Street Enhancements

Work on the Centre Street/Allandale Street intersection that was scheduled to take place earlier this month, including the striping of Centre and Allandale Streets, has been postponed due to unrelated work by National Grid in the area. Paving is now expected to take place the week of October 21.

Interior and Roof

Work is also underway inside the hospital and on the roof to accommodate the new inpatient addition. During this time, expect there will be increased noise and possible disturbances within the hospital. Individual departments that will be directly impacted will be notified in advance to allow them to prepare and mitigate any possible disruptions to operations.

Please note, the corridor outside of Huvos Auditorium is temporarily closed. The ATM located there has been temporarily relocated to the main hallway across from the vending machines. Work to install a temporary wall closing off the old Cafeteria seating area has also begun.
