BWFH's Campus Expansion

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital received approval for the Determination of Need (DoN) submission in May 2022 to begin working on a campus expansion program to better support care in our communities. Construction began in May of 2023.

Construction Update: April 22–May 2, 2025

Garage

• Monday, 4/28: Anticipated old garage demolition following Boston Landmarks Commission’s approval on Friday, 4/18. Pending permit approval. Further updates to come.
• Installation of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to improve cell coverage.

Inpatient Addition

Work Within Hospital Spaces

• 2nd Floor
  • Continued use of Hospital Loading Dock.
  • Furniture deliveries continue through April.

Exterior Site Work

• April – May: Landscaping and curbing at new entry.
• 4/22 – 5/2: Temporary sidewalk removal.
• Week of 5/5: Construction fence removal, curbing for the island in front of the main entrance to be completed.

Interior Work Within Inpatient Addition

• 1st floor – 5th floor: Final clean and punch list.
• 2nd floor – 5th floor: OFCI install.
