Kaufman named Perioperative Nurse Director

Robin Kaufman, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, has recently been named Perioperative Nurse Director at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. In this new role, she will oversee the Weiner Center for Perioperative Evaluation, Pre-Op Holding and the PACU.

Kaufman studied nursing at Simmons College and earned her master of science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UMass Boston. In the spring of 2017, she earned her DNP also from UMass Boston. Most recently, she was the Chief Nurse Practitioner in the Weiner Center for Perioperative Evaluation as well as the lead facilitator for numerous process improvement initiatives and the primary investigator for nursing research work.

In her new position, Kaufman will work closely with Director of Surgical and Procedural Services Jeff Blackwell. “I’m so excited for the opportunity to learn from leadership colleagues who have made me feel so incredibly well supported and to work with such a strong group of nurses and staff,” she says of her new challenge.
