Kannan earned his bachelor of Engineering degree in his native India before moving to the United States and earning his Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification from Rhode Island Hospital School of Diagnostic Imaging in 2006. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, he worked at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2006 to 2008 and at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 2008 to 2012. In 2012, he joined the Radiology Department at BWFH as the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine. He was then promoted to a Radiology Program Manager in 2016, overseeing six departments within Radiology, including Diagnostic, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Ultrasound, MRI and Interventional Radiology.

“This new role is a great opportunity for professional growth,” he says. “I am looking forward to learning these different areas while expanding my scope of knowledge. I will also be focusing on accomplishing the strategic goals of our organization while continuing to serve our patients, our employees, and our providers.”

When he is not at work, Kannan enjoys camping, hiking, wood-working and quilting with his wife.
