Division of Urology welcomes new attending surgeon

Daniel A. Wollin, MD, recently joined Brigham Health’s Department of Surgery in the Division of Urology as an attending surgeon. He will see patients in clinic at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as well as perform surgery. Additionally, he will be seeing patients at both Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. Wollin completed his undergraduate studies at Williams College before attending medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Urology at New York University School of Medicine and a fellowship in Endourology, Metabolic Stone Disease, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He is currently completing a Master of Science in Integrated Design and Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In the operating room at BWFH, Dr. Wollin will perform kidney stone surgeries (ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy), laparoscopic/robotic surgeries (robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic nephroureterectomy, laparoscopic radical nephrectomy, robotic pyeloplasty and robotic ureteral reimplantation) and general urology cases.

“I've heard very good things about the skill, speed and care delivered at BWFH,” says Dr. Wollin. “And, I’m very excited to set up a clinical practice back in my home state of Massachusetts.”

When he is not at work, Dr. Wollin enjoys cooking, playing guitar and spending time with his 2-year-old son.
