Candace Katsiroubas was recently named Director of Surgical Supply Operations—a role in which she will serve as the operational leader for the surgical supply chain at the Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Foxboro.
Katsiroubas studied Corporate Communications, Interpersonal Communications and Broadcasting at Manhattan College before beginning her career in the retail industry. She joins the Brigham family from Wayfair, where she most recently served as Senior Manager for Supply Chain Integration. “With a background in supply chain, I was eager to transition to healthcare and leverage my skillset to help support the Brigham’s vision of building a healthier world,” she says of her decision to venture into the healthcare industry. “Being in a role where I align with the organization’s mission and goals is important to me. I also love the idea that this role will be able to support three different locations.”
Time spent during the first few weeks of the role involved evaluating the current supply chain functions and inventory management processes within the surgical space as well as getting to know her new colleagues. “Since joining, I have spent a lot of time getting to know my teams and understanding their needs,” she says. “Everyone that I have met so far has been fantastic and have been so warm and welcoming. I have also enjoyed seeing where I will be able to lean in to help support my team and cross-functional partners.”
When she is not at work, Katsiroubas enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with loved ones.
