Department of Nursing welcomes new Nursing Supervisor

Christopher Wilson, MSN, RN, CNML, CENP, NEA-BC, recently joined the Department of Nursing at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in the role of Nursing Supervisor. In this role, he will support the hospital and its staff during the off shifts to ensure high-quality, effective clinical care.

Wilson studied nursing at Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. He later earned his MSN from Aspen University, where he is currently working toward earning his doctorate. He is a Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) and Nurse Executive Advanced, Board Certified (NEA-BC).

Throughout his career, Wilson has held a variety of positions, from bedside nurse to nurse executive. Most recently, he served as a Regional Chief Nursing Officer in the behavioral health field. Prior to his executive nurse role, his clinical practice included medical-surgical, intensive care, emergency medicine and trauma, including a nurse leader role at a level-one trauma center. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the School of Nursing at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Of his new role at BWFH, Wilson says, “This role is exciting because it’s a mix of everything—clinical, administrative and resource management—and it is very visible. The Nursing Supervisor is available to assist with just about anything and should be considered an essential resource for all. It is truly one of my favorite roles I’ve had in nursing leadership. I am excited to learn and grow within the BWFH family.”

When he is not at work, Wilson enjoys traveling, CrossFit and spending time with friends.
