Changes in the Department of Neurology at BWFH make for a better patient experience

In Brigham and Women’s Department of Neurology at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, physicians provide a comprehensive array of services. Because of growing demand for these services, the general neurologists have moved from Suite 4C to a new suite to allow for better patient access. Also, two new physicians have joined the team in the John R. Graham Headache Center.

General Neurology now located in Suite 4I!

Now Housed in Suite 4I, the general neurologists are skilled at treating a wide range of neurological disorders. In the newly renovated suite, the department is able to expand access to patients and to staff, by offering an additional exam room, as well as additional administrative office space.

“The whole suite has been designed for better patient navigation,” says Practice Manager Chandler Kaplan. “For our patients, this means a new and improved private vitals/intake station, larger exam rooms and a room dedicated to electromyography.”

Meet the John R. Graham Headache Center’s newest physicians!

Housed in Suite 4H, the John R. Graham Headache Center is known for excellence in headache clinical care, research and education.

Dr. Jennifer Hranilovich studied medicine at Washington University in St. Louis before completing residencies in Pediatrics, and Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah. In 2018, she began her fellowship in Headache Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

In the headache center at BWFH, she says she is looking forward to working at the cutting edge of headache care. “We have new solutions for head, face and neck pain every year,” says Dr. Hranilovich. “I look forward to learning from the incredible mentors available to me here and blending their knowledge with what I learned in the past to bring these skills to the patients at BWFH.”

Dr. Saad Kanaan studied medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan before completing internships in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at Princess Basma Hospital in Irbid, Jordan. Upon moving to the United States, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Neurology at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In 2018, he began his fellowship in Headache Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

He says, “As a headache fellow and faculty in the Department of Neurology at BWFH, I am excited to be working with and learning from the best in the world in the field of Neurology in general, and headache medicine specifically. I also look forward to improving patient access to our headache center, where we provide highly specialized care to some of the most difficult headache disorders.”
