BWFH welcomes new Quality Program Manager

Caitlin Manca, MPH

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital recently welcomed Caitlin Manca, MPH, in the role of Quality Program Manager in the Department of Patient Safety, Quality, Infection Control and Accreditation.

Manca is a graduate of Boston College where she studied Chemistry with the aim of going into the pharmaceutical industry. However, after graduation, while working in research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, she discovered Public Health. She later attended Boston University School of Public Health for her MPH in Healthcare Administration.

For the last two years she has served as Clinical Pathways Program Manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she was charged with developing, managing and sustaining clinical pathways through data analysis, quality improvement initiatives and technology development.

Of her decision to take on this new role here at BWFH, Manca says she looks forward to a new challenge. “This is an opportunity to expand my skills to new aspects of quality,” she says. “And I will be working closely with the team to do quality reporting for CMS and Joint Commission.”

When she is not at work, Manca enjoys spending time with her 7-month-old golden doodle puppy, running and reading.
