BWFH welcomes new Project Manager for Infection Control and Clinical Compliance

Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital recently welcomed Tricia Martin, MPH, in the role of Project Manager for Infection Control and Clinical Compliance. She will work closely with Infection Control Coordinator Roger Clark, DO, and report directly to Executive Director of Patient Safety, Quality, Risk Management, Infection Control, CDI and Clinical Compliance Christi Clark Barney, MSN, RN.

Martin earned her undergraduate degree in Public Health at Purdue University and her MPH at Boston University where she concentrated in Epidemiology.

She comes to BWFH from Carney Hospital where she served as Performance Improvement and Risk Management Specialist. She previously worked as an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and as Quality Improvement Analyst at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Here at BWFH, Martin will sit on several committees related to infection control such as the Hand Hygiene Committee and the Sepsis Task Force, among others. She will also help guide BWFH through its next Joint Commission survey. “This role combines my experience in infectious disease with my project management skills. I’m also looking forward to learning more about the clinical compliance aspect of healthcare. It’s exciting to bring the skills I already have to this role and to build upon those that aren’t as developed,” she says.

So far, Martin says she is thrilled with her decision to take on this new challenge. She says, “It really seems like everyone here is passionate about their job and their main focus is on providing excellent care to patients.”

In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar and snowboarding.
