BWFH welcomes new Patient Experience Operations Manager

Emily LeSage, MBA, recently joined Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as our new Patient Experience Operations Manager, overseeing Interpreter Services, the hospital Ambassadors and the Volunteer program.

LeSage earned a bachelor’s degree in Food, Nutrition and Wellness at the University of New Hampshire with the intention of pursuing nursing. During that time, she discovered a love of healthcare management and, upon graduating, began her career as an Administrative Assistant at Boston Medical Center. She held several roles there while earning her MBA in Healthcare Management at UMass Boston. She comes to BWFH from Atrius Health, where she has held a number of roles beginning as Certified Ophthalmic Technician and most recently as the Supervisor of Visual Operational Services.

Looking for a new challenge, she was excited to apply for the Patient Experience Operations Manager role here at BWFH. One of the projects that most interests her is relaunching the Volunteer program. “It’s been on hold since the COVID-19 pandemic,” she says. “I’m really excited to help re-build the program to benefit the hospital, and for it to be a great resource for staff and patients.”

So far, she is very pleased with her decision to join the team at BWFH. “I love it!” she says. “Everyone is so nice, and the staff seem really happy.”

When she is not at work, LeSage, who was married and purchased a new home last summer, enjoys riding her Peloton, spending time with friends, going to the beach and reading.
