Brigham Health’s Division of Endocrinology is pleased to welcome Sara Ahmadi, MD.
Dr. Ahmadi studied medicine at Azad University-Tehran Medical Branch in her native Iran before moving to the United States where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and a fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is a board-certified endocrinologist specializing in the treatment of patients with endocrine neoplasia, with a focus in thyroid cancer and thyroid nodule. She has a special interest in thyroid cancer and has undertaken additional training on the management of patients with thyroid cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
She comes to Brigham Health from Duke Health where she was a member of the Duke endocrine neoplasia team and the Duke Cancer Institute.
Her principle effort in Brigham Health’s Division of Endocrinology, which is part of the Department of Medicine, and at Harvard Medical School will be in patient care, clinical research and training of students and fellows.
At Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Dr. Ahmadi will see patients in the outpatient setting where she will have an endocrine clinic focused on thyroid conditions as well as a joint medical-surgical endocrine clinic.

When she is not at work, Dr. Ahmadi enjoys reading, running and spending time with family.
