Pencils, pens, crayons, glue sticks, tape, scissors, staplers, index cards, file folders, binders and more. Throughout the month of August, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Community Health and Wellness Department, with help from the Emerging Leaders group, collected school supplies for the students at JP Manning Elementary School. Thanks to the generosity of hospital staff and volunteers, the hospital was able to collect enough items to help stock JP Manning’s classrooms this school year.

At a recent assembly at the school, Community Health and Wellness Director Tracy Sylven and Community Health and Wellness Assistant Katie Plante presented the supplies to the staff and students.

Seeing the stage in the auditorium filled with supplies for their classrooms made the students very happy. “We are so grateful to BWFH for the generous donations of new school supplies to our school,” says Librarian Patti Cahill. “Not only new school supplies for the students and classrooms but also the never-ending need of tissues, wipes, hand sanitizer and more. We value our long standing and committed partnership with BWFH.”
