BWFH celebrates 20-year affiliation with BWH

Dear Colleagues,

Twenty years ago this week, what was then Faulkner Hospital entered into an affiliation with Brigham and Women’s Hospital that has allowed us to grow and thrive in ways not thought possible back in October 1998. 

Over the course of the last 20 years, so much about our storied history has improved, from the addition of programs and services to our name itself, changing to Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in 2012. This partnership has allowed us to become vitally important to the work of Brigham Health and Partners HealthCare as we continue to expand our reach to the local community in amazing ways.

But what we’re most proud of when we walk the halls of BWFH, is that we never wavered from our commitment to care for our patients and their families in their times of need. Every day we witness amazing acts of compassion from our nursing staff, physicians helping to give patients hope for a brighter future, cafeteria staff offering warm smiles to everyone who comes through the line, administrators working with their counterparts at BWH to plan future growth, environmental services staff going out of their way to find answers to questions that fall outside of their responsibilities and so much more. Whether you have direct patient access or not, it takes all of us to care for our patients and their families.

To mark this momentous occasion, we’ll be celebrating the 20^th anniversary of the merger with a special cake celebration on Thursday, October 4 from 11:30 am to 1 pm outside the cafeteria. Please stop by and let us personally thank you for your service and share some of your favorite memories with us!
