BWFH awarded an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group 

For Spring 2024, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital has earned an "A" Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog. Leapfrog assigns letter grades to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them. 

“Providing the highest quality, safest patient care is always our top priority,” says Scott Schissel, MD, PhD, associate chief medical officer and vice president of Medical Affairs. “Thanks to the diligence of our quality, patient safety and infection control colleagues, as well as the continued efforts of our staff, we’ve earned top marks. It truly takes teams across our organization working together and focused on key quality measures such as hand hygiene to ensure our patients’ safety.”
