Joining forces at the DCR Hatch Shell, teams from Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital recently raised more than $30,000 to benefit the American Heart Association at the 2019 Boston Heart Walk.
Among the groups in attendance, Team LiveWell represented BWFH and was led by Senior Human Resources Generalist and LiveWell Committee Chair Sue Doherty.
“We walked a total of 7 miles between the walk itself and our day in Boston,” says Doherty. “I was thrilled to do my part to support patients affected by heart disease and their friends and families. Plus, getting outside and getting your heart pumping feels great!”
With its 40 teams and 554 total walkers, Brigham Health was the largest group of walkers at this year’s Boston Heart Walk. The teams, led by Senior Administrative Assistant in the Cardiovascular Division at BWH Merilyn Holmes, included employees and their families and friends, patients and their families and friends and even a few dogs.
