As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure alignment and efficiency across all Brigham sites of care, endoscopy and infusion programs and operations at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital will report to Ethan Parten, Brigham Vice President of Peri-Procedural Services. This change in endoscopy leadership was effective April 1, and infusion will transition on June 1, 2022.
On the BWFH campus, Parten will partner with Associate Chief Nurse, Perianesthesia/Procedural and Ambulatory Services Robin Kaufman, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, NEA-BC, Ben Smith, MD, BWFH Endoscopy Center Medical Director, and Muthoka Mutinga, MD, BWFH Infusion Medical Director, in delivery of all endoscopy and infusion services. He will report directly to BWFH President David McCready for his operational responsibilities at BWFH, and to Kevin Giordano, Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, for his broader Brigham-wide Peri-Procedural Services role.
As part of BWFH’s leadership team, Parten will maintain a part-time but consistent presence at BWFH and will join many leadership meetings going forward.
