Michèle and John Simourian (center), alongside Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs Dr. Peggy Duggan and President David O. McCready, cut the ribbon officially naming the Atrium elevator lobby in honor of Dr. Duggan
At a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital President David O. McCready and Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs Dr. Peggy Duggan, the Atrium elevator lobby was recently named in honor of Dr. Peggy Duggan with a gift from Michèle and John Simourian.
McCready made the naming official by reading a special proclamation:
Michèle and John, on behalf of Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, I thank you for your wonderful gift made in tribute to Dr. Peggy Duggan. Your generosity is helping to ensure that Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital is a healing environment for patients and their families, where staff provide compassionate care and train the next generation of medical leaders. For this, we are incredibly grateful.
Now, with the cutting of this ribbon, this atrium elevator lobby is hereby dedicated with appreciation to Michèle and John Simourian in honor of Dr. Peggy Duggan, on the 22nd day of October in the year 2018. From this day forward, the Simourian Atrium Elevator Lobby will be a visible and lasting reminder of your kindness, your desire to help improve care for patients, and your impact on the future of medicine. Thank you.
Dr. Duggan also thanked the Simourians by saying, “I am so honored to have been able to care for you Michèle. The fact that you stand here today is thanks enough. But your gift will do so much to help our patients. For that, I can’t thank you enough.”
