School Supply Drive benefits JP Manning Elementary School

From pencils and pens to crayons and glue sticks to tape and scissors, students at JP Manning Elementary School are well equipped for the new school year thanks to Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s Community Health and Wellness Department and Young Professionals Committee. Throughout the month of August, the groups collected school supplies donated by generous hospital staff and volunteers.

During an assembly at the school, Community Health and Wellness Director Tracy Sylven and Assistant Katie Plante presented six boxes of school supplies to students and faculty. “Everyone here at BWFH seemed so happy to donate to the kids at JP Manning Elementary School,” she said. “That generosity was greatly appreciated. The kids and the teachers at the school were so excited to have new supplies to start the school year. The small things really do make a big impact.”

The Community Health and Wellness Department and Young Professionals Committee would like to thank all who donated school supplies. Your generous gifts will make a positive impact this school year for the students and faculty at JP Manning Elementary School.
