Nursing Quality and Magnet Program Manager Joins BWFH

Rose LaPlante, MSN, RN, recently joined Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital as the new Nursing Quality and Magnet Program Manager. As part of her new role, she will be involved in collecting quality data, shared governance, and the Magnet program. LaPlante received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her MSN from Framingham State University. She is currently pursuing her MBA from Fitchburg State University, where she is expected to graduate next year.

She has a variety of nursing experience, including staff nurse in the Perioperative Float Pool, Hematology/Oncology Unit and Peri-Anesthesia Units at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Most recently, LaPlante was a Nurse Manager of the Dermatological Surgery Unit and Laser and Cosmetic Center at Massachusetts General Hospital.

During her clinical roles, LaPlante was active in various shared governance committees including Magnet Champion, ERAS Unit Champion and co-chair of the Peri-Procedural Divisional Committee. “I’m very excited to be at BWFH,” says LaPlante. “I’m really looking forward to working on projects to improve the quality of patient care, on the hospital’s Magnet program and on shared governance.”

LaPlante lives in the Boston area and is a long-distance runner. She ran the Boston Marathon in 2019 and hopes to do so again.
