Recently, Olivia Donnelly, NP, joined Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Breast Center. Donnelly is a graduate of the Boston College Connell School of Nursing Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program. Prior to joining the team at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, she worked at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Gynecologic Oncology.
In her role here at BWFH, Donnelly supports the practice of Division Chief of Breast Surgery Dr. Laura Dominici, Chief Medical Officer and breast cancer surgeon Dr. Peggy Duggan and breast cancer surgeon Dr. Faina Nakhlis. She meets with patients before and after their surgeries, does “Teach” appointments to help patients understand what they can expect from their surgery and cares for patients with non-surgical breast problems. She also collaborates closely with the center’s social worker to help guide patients who struggle with their decision to undergo surgery.
“I’m really excited to be here,” she says. “Everyone has been very helpful as I learn my new role.”
Donnelly’s family is originally from Jamaica Plain and she says they are thrilled she is working in the neighborhood. “They think BWFH is the best hospital of them all.”
When she’s not at work, Donnelly enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
