Need to view your paycheck? Not sure how to enroll in benefits? Looking for internal job opportunities? Ask myHR, a multi-channel platform designed to improve and modernize the HR experience, debuted October 1.
The self-service portal acts as a “front door” to HR that will help employees find all the information they need in one spot by providing support, guidance and advice. Ask myHR takes a customized approach to ensure that the employee can find the resources and tools they need, whenever they need it, at their convenience, 24/7.
Bonnie Welch, Director of HR Shared Services, discusses the seamless HR system as a way for employees to have one central location where information is specified for the user.
“Ask myHR identifies what HR information is relevant to the employee,” Welch says, “It is essentially the ‘Google for HR.’”
The similarities Ask myHR has to the popular search engine helps deliver world-class HR services and provide intuitive access to the information you need, when you need it. A user-friendly search bar located in the center of the home page and convenient quick links helps navigate employees directly to what they are looking for.
Ask myHR, a core part of the HR 2.0 efforts, takes a personalized approach so that HR may better serve its customers. An example of this service is the “request section” of the portal.
“The request section differs from other systems in place now because it offers a way for employees to submit any human resources question and have a designated employee provide a response,” she explains.
The requests submitted through the portal are then managed by the HR Support Center. The team members working in the HR Support Center will respond to requests, answer questions and when necessary, direct the request within Human Resources to help resolve.
The ease of being able to find information and interact with the HR Support Center, makes the employee experience easier and more efficient.
Ask myHR links simplicity and convenience for employees. However, the availability of the portal goes beyond one’s desktop at work. Employees will be able to log on to Ask myHR from home and on mobile both in and out of network, 24/7.
“It is all about the customer experience,” Welch says. “Get ready to have an accessible site, designed with you in mind, in one convenient location.”
