Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital’s I CARE Award recognizes staff members from all areas of the hospital who go above and beyond their regular job responsibilities to make BWFH a great place to work and receive care. 7 North Clinical Leader Tracy Lane, MSN, RN, MEDSURG-BC, and staff nurse Darcy Fisher, BSN, RN, were recent recipients of I CARE Awards.
Lane and Fisher were nominated for their I CARE Awards by 7 North Nurse Director Juliet Gleason, MBA, MSN, RN. In her nomination letter, Gleason wrote:
We have a patient on 7 North that has been very challenging for staff. He has been here a long time and will likely be here indefinitely. In an effort to help manage his care and behaviors, the interdisciplinary team is meeting every week to discuss issues/strategies/etc. Tracy has attended every meeting despite it being her day off. Darcy works nights and she arranges her day so she can attend the meeting and be able to support the patient and the night staff with his care as well. They want to share their experience, their insight and feedback from the staff to be sure that all participants have the full picture. This is greatly appreciated.
Do you know a BWFH employee who has gone above and beyond to demonstrate BWFH’s I CARE Standards? To nominate a fellow colleague for an I CARE Award, please visit BWFHconnect. A team of colleagues will personally recognize the employee by presenting them with balloons, a thank you card and a gift certificate redeemable in the cafeteria or Atrium Café.
