Mission Statement
At Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital we aspire to be the care provider of choice for diverse patients and their families, and the employer of choice for diverse employees.
This requires an inclusive environment that values differences such as race, gender identity and expression, ethnicity, language, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental ability, religion, income, and national origin. To achieve this, we provide education and promote policies and practices that support patients, their families and our employees.
Vision
To be a leader among hospitals by providing excellent healthcare for the diverse communities we serve.
Employee Resource Groups
One of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to Diversity and Inclusion at BWFH is through the support of our Employee Resource Groups. Our current active groups are:
- The Association of Multicultural Member of Partners (AMMP), whose mission is commitment to the advancement, retention, recruitment, and development of multicultural professionals into leadership roles at all levels and areas of the Partners organization.
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) and Allies, whose mission is to create a welcoming and affirming environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender employees, patients, families and friends.
- Emerging Leaders Committee, whose mission is to foster growth, improve retention, and create a sense of community among BWFH’s young professionals and early careerists.
United Against Racism
As a Mass General Brigham Hospital, we are United Against Racism and stand together in our commitment to address the impact racism has on our patients, employees, and communities. We believe that systemic racism is a public health issue which impacts our patients, workforce and the communities we serve. Working collectively, we are taking action across the system to dismantle racism and learning as we go. Learn More.
